It’s the most beautiful time of the year when we can freely devour on delicious food without feeling any guilt (it’s pretty obvious in my tummy). Who wouldn’t love the Christmas season? Shopping malls are on sale, Misa de Gallo, Christmas parties, aguinaldos, exchange gifts, family reunion, and the main reason for the season: Jesus Christ.

Baseball kid

I just need a baseball cap and bat and I’m ready to hit the field (but I have to remove my watch and accessories first)! Wore this outfit to my block’s Christmas Party yesterday where no exchange gifts happened because we were all broke! Haha reason: our recently concluded General Assembly.

Raglan shirts are very comfy to wear and easy to style so they basically go to my wardrobe staples. I put on accessories to  complement the whole outfit.

Meet my broke block! Lol 5 more days til Christmas and 1 night left before Paskuhan! To those who are coming, I don’t know if it’s mandatory to wear Red, Yellow or Green but better be on those colors, para sure! You may also want to bring unique signage (like balloons) to easily track your companions!

Not really into colored jeans until I saw Billy Crawford wearing them on showtime. Well I guess we have the same body size so I sometimes make him my style icon, lol “If he can pull a pair of colored jeans, why can’t I?” I told myself.

HAPPY SEMBREAK!

Well hello there semestral break (though I can’t say it’s official until I see my grades)! Iswear this was my most petiks sem ever! Residing at a place that’s 2 jeepneys and 6 LRT stations away from your school is not easy. The long travel tires the heck out of me thus I just clean myself, change clothes and go to sleep after I get home (PM class right here). It took me a while to adjust so you can’t really blame me. But I tried to wake up early and do my duties as a student :p

Being an Accounting student is not easy. Though Accounting problems usually *just* includes basic mathematical operations, solving them is not like just eating a piece of cake. It requires imba analytical skills, deep comprehension and critical thinking (well most of the courses do).

The recent CPA board exam showed that 5 Thomasians made it to the top 10, 2 of them being the top 1, both having an average of 94.14%. Total passing rate is 93.09% - 377 out of 405 examinees. I can’t help but to be proud and inspired!! I promise to do my best so that someday, I will also become a Certified Public Accountant! WAIT AND SEE!

Btw, can this look pass as a corporate world attire? :D

The weather has been crazy these days. Floods everywhere. Suspension of classes here and there. Oh sembreak, why are you going away?

Anyhooo, what’s best to use in this kind of weather? Sweaters! You can never go wrong with them. It’s always nice to pair navy blue with beige, but since my sweater has gray details on it, I decided to match it up with a pair of pants that has a lighter shade and with a pair of shoes that has the same hue.

Sunday family day at the mall. Was only wearing polo shirt and jeans combo (my usual wears) but then it started to rain heavily so I had to grab this jacket to keep myself warm! Decided to pair my white tee with distressed jeans and sneakers to keep the look from being too formal.

Today marks the start of our prelim week so I stayed up late last night to finish reviewing for my exam only to find out that classes will be suspended again in UST! Well I think I’m getting old because class suspensions don’t make me happy at all. Reason is that I’m already in 4th year college so I’m making the most out of it! But of course, they made a right decision for suspending the classes because rain keeps on falling and getting harder! Safety of the students before anything else!

To those who are in a safe place: let’s all be thankful and say a little prayer for those who don’t have a shelter and are affected by the heavy downpour. Safety reminders: Make sure that your cell phones are fully charge! If not, charge them while there’s still a power supply - you’ll be needing them in case of emergency (click this for emergency hotlines). Prepare all the basic needs in case of brownout - flashlights and candles. Stay home, stay dry, be safe everyone! Bawal magka-sakit! (Mag-clusivol)

Attended my relatives’ silver wedding anniversary this afternoon. Most of the couples I know who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary (including my parents) did not renew their vows, but Tita Marilyn and Tito Dave just did. It was a pretty big celebration - with over 500 guests! I love going in these kinds of celebration cuz it somehow proves that love can last a lifetime. Whaaat?! :p praying for more and more years for their marriage!

Last day in Hong Kong! Just went to Mong Kok for some shopping- a lot of cheap finds! You just have to be good in bargaining to get an item in a real low price. I’ll post the details on my last day there next!

Great finds

My mom packed all of our used clothes to be given away to probably the victims of different calamities. Some of them I gave to Ate Nora, our house help. But before finally saying goodbye, I gave them a last look. While I was going over the clothes, I found these vintage items that I think I can still wear. Will just bring them to a tailor shop soon for some minor repairs.
